MANAGEMENT TEAM
Eersterust Golden Football Club: Where Age is Just a Number
Founded in February 2023, Eersterust Golden Football Club a registered non-profit organisation proudly empowering women through the beautiful game of football. Backed by a dedicated six-member executive team and a growing membership of over 30 registered players, we are building a movement that proves sport has no age limit.
We are proud members of the Tshwane Elderly Golden Football League which brings together 14 clubs and over 240 players from across Tshwane. League matches take place monthly, rotating between vibrant local townships—fostering community connection and sporting spirit.
Our club is uniquely focused on women aged 60 to 77, with a new and enthusiastic age group of 36 to 59-year-olds joining the pitch. Together, these women are rewriting the narrative of ageing—choosing active lifestyles, strong bodies, and joyful camaraderie through football. Training takes place three times a week, with official league matches held every first Tuesday of the month.
This initiative goes beyond sport. It's about wellness, community, inclusion and breaking stereotypes. We are creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space where women of all ages can stay physically fit, mentally resilient, and socially connected.
We have 30 registered members and three couches and debuted on SABC ETV with our 1st Kick off at Eersterust stadium in 2023 and SABC KYKNET: Met n huppel in my stap program. Participated in the Grannies International tournament from the 1st-5th April 2025 in Limpopo.
With a Standard Bank account and strong governance in place, Eersterust Golden FC is ready to grow, collaborate, and inspire.
Join us in championing active ageing and celebrating the power of women in sport.
Our Purpose
Promoting a Healthy Body and Mind Through the Power of Sport
We believe that staying active is key to ageing well. Through regular physical activity, social connection, and community involvement, we support our members in maintaining both mental and physical wellness.
Our Vision

We aim to build meaningful partnerships with like-minded organisations, corporates, and government departments to expand opportunities for elderly wellness, advocacy, and engagement across multiple platforms.
Our Mission
To participate in the local league in the community.
To promote social interaction and a community spirit through the medium of football.
To promote the sport of football in general.
To promote health, security, and happiness of its junior and senior members.
To conduct football training and coaching programmes for its members.
To actively establish and maintain a core of volunteers to fully pursue the aims of EGFC.
